Karessa & Austin - The Red Barn Experience - LaPorte, Indiana

The forecast said it was going to rain all day during Karessa & Austin’s wedding day. It drizzled in the morning, then again in the afternoon, then quit! It was perfect! Perfect day for a perfect couple! I was looking forward to their wedding, because their engagement session was so fun and they were naturals in front of the camera.

We pulled them out for golden hour, we waited, and waited for the sun to pop under the clouds and it just took forever. SO we walked back to the dance floor, about to start their first dance, when Austin ran back and said “the sun came back out! We should go now!” - and boy. was it worth it…

Their day was filled with good luck rain, love, and beer. Best day ever!

Nina & Greg - June 3rd - Crown Point Courthouse & Lighthouse Restaurant

Oh Nina & Greg. What a fun day we had. They have a very unique personality. BOTH OF THEM! HAH!

Nina was nervous while getting ready. She held it together and handled the problems with the limo like a champ. She just rode with her photographers!
The ceremony was beautiful and I know that she breathed a sigh of relief after and the party began!
So many laughs were shared and it was a beautiful, but hot June day.

Samantha & Devin + April 9th 2016

An April 9th wedding and there was snow and Ice, but just in Valparaiso. The first half hour of the drive to Indy was pretty hairy, tons of ice, and it was earrrrrrly. I don't do early morning drives with ice, especially in APRIL! I talked to Sam & Devin, literally 10 days before they said "I do". I walked into their hotel room where all the girls were getting ready and felt like I had known Samantha for years. She made me feel like I was her long lost best friend. I absolutely love that feeling. I am so happy I could be there to capture all of these special memories they had. My favorite is when Samantha HAD to be the one that did her own eyebrows. She was super serious too. It killed me.

Everything about this day was just amazing. The venue. Let me tell you. The Sanctuary on Penn has to be one of the three top venues I have ever been to. Its magical in there! I love me some old, rustic, venues and its pretty amazing.

Okay, I admit, I cry a lot! I almost always tear up at weddings, but when Samantha's dad saw her in her dress for the first time, I lost it. That first look was one of the best ones yet. I even said, MY dad better cry like that when he sees me for the first time. I know Samantha's goal was to make Devin cry at least once, sure enough the closer she got to where he was standing the more he started to well up and finally cry.

I could go on and on about how amazing this wedding was and how much I love the photos but ill stop and just let the pictures speak for me. Thank you Devin and Sam for having me and I can't wait to work with you again. <3

Chris & Karissa + February 27th 2016

I met these two lovebirds back in February of 2015 when they had a very small wedding ceremony out in the freezing cold, where the only thing to keep us warm was their love. They decided a small ceremony was best and wanted to have a big ceremony a year later on their anniversary. I secretly hoped and prayed they would once again trust me to capture their very special memories. I was sooooo happy when Karissa sent me and email in December wanting to discuss being their photographer. Over the moon excited me just couldnt wait to see them again!

The day was filled with love, happiness, and tons of tears. I even started tearing up as Karissa walked arm in arm with her dad. All day I kept thinking to myself, this right here is why I love wedding's so much. It was like a light bulb. The emotion, the happy tears, the smiles. Everything during a stressful day of running around, making sure we have all the photos the bride would want, not having but 3 minutes for a potty break or just to wash your hands to feel human again. I love it. I crave it. I am weird, I know.

Weddings are the best. I am so happy I was able to work with Karissa and Chris again. Here's to seeing you both again soon!

Courtney & Kurt

Our first scheduled session date, didnt work out and I could not be happier honestly! Our plan was to have the session the day after the snow storm we were expected to get. It almost didnt happen with how the roads were. Thank goodness it did though! These images!!! I cant even. I love them all.

They were the perfect couple to tromp through the snow with. It was freezing. I was without power for 27 hours, and going out in the cold was horrible, and coming home to a cold house and not being able to edit was torture!!

Ill let these images speak for themselves. Courtney & Kurt are the cutest.
