Ostrander Family - Maternity

Oh these three, that were soon to be four. We had a very very chilly windy day back in April for this session. Barrett was not having the wind at the beach. Nothing that Sarah or David did helped. We just did a few mom and dad poses and decided to go search for a warmer location. We couldn’t push the session back because Sarah was due any day. The beach colors that day were insanely gorgeous.

Lennon - Lifestyle Newborn

Megan & Trevor are some of the sweetest people I have ever met. Rewind back to like 2019(?) I think. They booked a Christmas mini with me. We had such a fun time and I loved getting to know them. I was so excited when Megan contacted me to photograph their sweet new girl Lennon. When Megan said she wanted to incorporate her wedding dress I was SO excited. This was hands down one of my favorite sessions and I hope I get to see them again here soon!

Asher - Lifestyle Newborn

Im just going to start this post with a, holy crap I am so behind in blogging the I literally dont have the time to blog 2020 stuff anymore. I HAVE to move onto 2021 stuff.
So the first 2021 session I am blogging is the sweetest newborn session of one of my fave couples. Hannah & Cameren are near and dear to me. I have loved capturing their sweetest memories from their engagement session, wedding, maternity & now Asher’s lifestyle session. I mean. Look at this sweet boy. How adorable is he??
Asher kept smiling and sticking his tongue out throughout his session and we just embraced It. His personality was shinning through even only being a few days old.
I cant wait until the next session and hopefully get to see this fam soon!

Johnson Family

This was by far one of my most favorite fall family sessions last year!
The Johnson family pulled up in their fall outfits and sweet little Claire was r e a d y for the camera. READY for it.

I loveeeee these guys. Its been amazing to see them almost every year for the last couple of years!
Their sweet family just keeps growing! This takes me back to amazing weather and beautiful fall sunsets.
I miss it… as its 25 degrees and there is snow on the ground.

Have you ever taken family photos at a mum farm? If you haven’t you need to! Its a must in life.
I love sessions where people incorporate places that mean the most to them. The Hennings own this mum farm, and it has grown to be a beautiful family business! It was awesome to see first hand what they do!
This makes top ten favorite extended family sessions by far!

Virginia & Jesse - Family Beach Session

Virginia & Jesse are about the sweetest things ever. I loooooved meeting them back in May for their greenhouse mini. When I did beach sessions they snatched one up and I was so excited to see them again..

Blythe Family - Beach Session

Rachel wanted a beach session, so we made it happen. I just cant believe how big these kiddos are getting.

Jonah - Smash Cake

Hands down… favorite smash cake. 2020 has been a crappy year but its really pushed my creativity and set the bar high for awesome sessions like this! Jessica & Adam were a past couple of mine and already are celebrating this little chunks first birthday! This sweet baseball themed smash cake was SO fun.
It started to rain about 10 mixtures before we were done with the session, but the sky did some pretty cool things afterward.

Jeff & Lizzy - Maternity

OH… Jeff & Lizzy… I was so happy to see these guys again. Its been a hot minute since I have seen these two, almost three. I was SO excited that these guys had me capture these memories for them. Their wedding last year was one of my favorites and my most memorable. Beach sessions have been my jam lately and this was just a cherry on top of the summer! <3

Kearney Family

I was so excited for this session back in June! I swear they are just the sweetest family ever. Their two boys are so smiley and we had NO shortages in smiles.
This was a nice way to kick off outdoor sessions for sure! <3

Gottschalk Family - Beach Session

The first beach session of the year, did not disappoint. AT ALL.
I love this sweet family - it has been a year since I had seen them and I didnt realize how much I missed faces up until this point in quarantine… Matts face is nice and all but I missed other faces!

I just love EVERYTHING about this whole gallery. I could not even narrow down their gallery to less than 400 images, so I knew their blog would be huge as well!

Emily & Penelope - Greenhouse Mini

I had to WORK for Penelope to even crack a smile my way. Which I get, its been a weird time. I was probably the first person shes seen besides family in weeks. But MAN once we got her smiling she didnt stop!

Her favorite thing was to run down the aisles and smell the flowers. I have said it once, and ill say it again. I will be doing these next year… they were so fun and all of them turned out so beautiful!

Kominakis Family - Maternity

I never thought that my first session back after the world pretty much stopped… would be so. so. SO good. I legit sat in my car and cried after. You truly don’t know how much you miss what you truly love to do, until you cant do it.
The few weeks of not working was rough. I was SO excited that we were able to get this session in. It felt amazing to create art again. And I LOVE this family. LOVE them.
The sun was beautiful, the weather was great. It literally was a perfect way to kick start working again. I have been busy ever since and im grateful. <3

Welbourne Family - Beach Session

Beach sessions are. my. jam. - this was one of the last ones I had last year. The sunlight was the best I have ever seen. The water was super calm. it was just a great night. I am looking forward to getting back to the beach soon!

The Jensen Family - North Ave Beach

I was so excited to meet the Jensen family just a few weeks ago! Hayley wanted a session in Chicago before they moved later this year. This session was CRAZY! We got about 35 minutes into the session and some FOG rolled in. It was the coolest thing. I absolutely loved this session. Loved this family. I wish them all the best in their new adventure!

Navarro Family - Beach Session

Its been a hot minute since I have seen this adorable family! Since, they have added a new addition!
They were my first beach session of the season <3 I loved it so much!
The light was perfect. The family was perfect.

Family Session Dates

Wedding season is quickly approaching and I have slim to nothing as far as open session dates for family sessions. I LOVE these family sessions, so if you have an open day during the week, and the kids dont have any sport practice or you dont have to work late. Book a session! I want to be able to pack as many sessions into summer and fall as I can. Weddings aren’t the only thing I do ;)
