Paige & John - Engagement Session

Okay, engagement sessions are low key some of my favorites… I love getting to know my couples ill be working with later in the year or even a year from now. You get to feel more comfortable with the posing and learn more about me. I even feel more comfortable arriving on your wedding day, knowing you and having already seen your face.
Paige & John are getting married at one of my favorite favorite FAVORITE venues in NWI this May and their engagement session last year was one for the books.
The clouds rolled in right before their session and I was like “aw man” then the sun came out halfway through and they got to see me do some weird happy dance thing.
Their chemistry was off the charts and I cant wait for golden hour on their wedding day. Its going to be STUNNING.

Alarie & Pete - Valparaiso, Indiana - Wedding

When Alarie & I talked on the phone before they booked with me, I felt like I was talking to a long lost friend from high school. The conversation flowed so easily I knew right then if I didnt book their wedding I would cry and this would be the one that got away.
Their day did not disappoint. They kept things small, intimate and made sure it was a day they could look back on and be happy with. Just their family and close friends. The people who matter most. <3
It was one for the books. I loved everything about their day.
Thank you Alarie & Peter for including me in your day. It meant so much.

Karla & Francisco - Car Wash

This took place last August but it was for sure one of my favorite sessions with some of my favorite people. I love these two come to me once or twice a year still even after their wedding 2 ish years ago.. Right guys 2 years ago you got married? I lost track of time.
Anywho. I had a vision for this session and they just jumped at the chance. They are always so easy in front of the camera - they are naturals now. SO happy they are stuck with me <3

Kai - Lifestyle Newborn

The biggest honor I get in life is when past couples hire me for their life memories and some of their biggest moments as couples.
The facial expressions on this kid was top notch! I have never met a more chill baby! Like look at that first picture. Hands under his head, a little smirk.
Just gonna leave these here.. with their sweet pups too!

Kaitlin & Corey - Engagement Session

I always include an engagement session into all of my wedding packages, because its important to work with all of my couples one on one before their big day. Plus you can use these photos for your save the dates and to poster your walls with. Kaitlin & Corey are one of my 2022 couples and I just cant wait to see them and their families here in May - Corey is the brother of a past bride and its just going to be one massive party.
I also love that they brought beer to calm their nerves and to just incorporate themselves in these photos!
The sunlight for this session was BOMB. One of the best nights.

Horst Family - Lifestyle Newborn

I absolutely love this sweet family - I was so excited to capture them going from a family of three to four.
Its been an absolute pleasure to work with Katy & Nick since Amelia was a newborn!
I had a blast exploring their new home and utilizing the AMAZING natural light that it had. Since Katy is a photographer herself I figured natural light would be easy to come by.
I cant wait to capture more memories for these guys and to grow my friendship with them!

I love the Amelia picked up her camera and wanted to participate in the photo taking fun! One of my most favorite families and sessions! <3

Ashley & Jim - Four Corners Winery, Valparaiso, Indiana - Wedding

I have never been so happy for a planner to recommend me to a couple before.. until Ashley & Jim. Ashley & Jim were SUCH a fun couple. I would love to go get margs with them any day. Their day was a beautiful August, hot day. Their vendor line up was on point - from their videographer, dj, hair & makeup and everything in between. I loved loved loved capturing their day.. The amount of photos that will be shared on this post - I will not apologize! It was one of my favorite days! <3

Johnson Family - Beach Session

I have never had a beach session where I delivered over 400 images…that was until this galley. I have followed this family before they had their little guy here, so to do this session was an absolute blast.
1000% one of my favorite sessions. Just look at those smiles.

Brandt - Lifestyle Newborn

When your friend has a baby, you invade said friends space and make sure to capture all the sweet baby looks!
Baby Brandt is already 6 months by the time im blogging his newborn sesh, but thats how we roll around here.
Give me all the lifestyle newborn sessions.. they are my fave.

Brittani & Sam - The Veranda at the Whitcomb - St. Joseph, Michigan

Brittani & Sam were one of my many covid couples who decided to push their big day to 2021 just to be safe. In that time, they were able to secure a new venue and I think everything worked out for the better!
I was BLOWN away at how beautiful this little venue was. Right in the heart of downtown St Joe, Michigan this venue is across the street from beautiful Lake Michigan.
I absolutely loved seeing these two again and spending their day with them.
Its always an absolute honor when bride & grooms refer me to their engaged friends and they book me. I get to see these guys again at least two more times in 2022! Its going to be such an amazing time. <3
Gosh, I love my jobbbb! <3

Ally & Rob - Chicago Engagement Session

Give me all the gloomy Chicago engagement sessions. I love Chicago when its sunny, I do… but when the clouds roll in those city tones are some special. I have seen these guys a few times at other weddings last year, so I was SUPER excited when they booked an engagement session with me :) These guys are already married since im so behind in posting sessions and weddings from last year… its still one of my favorites and needed to be shared still!! <3

Liz & Gunner

I know some of you are going to recognize this face… Liz was my second shooter for years! She kept a lot of you guys laughing and she sure kept me laughing. One of my most favorite people in the world. <3
When she text me last summer asking if I would take pictures of her and her sweet horse Gunner, we all knew the answer was going to be yes. We had so much fun catching up and I even Pete the horse.. which is a big step for me. Im not a horse person haha.

Megan & Jake - The Pavilion at Sandy Pines - Wedding

Another amazing Sandy Pines wedding in the books. Megan & Jake are about the sweetest people you will ever meet. I know this day was so super hard for Megan with lost her mom just a short time ago. She did everything possible to make sure she included her mom’s memory.
Her first look with her dad nearly sent me into a crying mess.
One of my favorite first looks ever.

What a beautiful and loved filled day these two had <3

Kayla & Roger - Engagement Session - Chicago

Chicago engagement sessions were in high demand last year. I was NOT complaining. I mean the drive kinda sucks some days (I hate, no, I LOATHE traffic). Kayla & Roger had their October wedding last year, those photos are to come, but wow. They ROCKED their e session. One of my favorites <3

Bridgette & Danny - The Pavilion at Sandy Pines - Wedding

We all know how much I love Sandy Pines, but Bridgette and Danny literally had the best day at Sandy Pines. The weather was perfect. We had a sunset… boy did we have a SUNSET.

Its always super special to watch a family member or friend marry a couple. It always seems like it means even that much more when its someone close to you. Bridgette’s aunt was one of the best family members I have seen get up in front of a crowd of people and deliver a powerful and heartfelt union.
What a great day. I am so happy for these two and I cant wait to see where they go in life!
These two are now drs, and living life as a married couple <3

Alyssa & Trey - Engagement

Back last spring? Maybe summer? I met up with Trey & Alyssa to shoot their engagement session in Michigan City. I was immediately excited to shoot their wedding in August of 2022. We didnt get much of a sunset, but we for sure enjoyed the warm weather and pretty downtown vibes.

Bre & Corey - The Market, Valparaiso Indiana - Wedding

Bre & Corey also were a covid reschedule, so I was looking forward to this day for longer than I care to admit. I loved loved loved finally getting to work with them. My friendship with Bre is literally one of my most favorite things about this job. I love gaining friends every year with some of my brides. Its what I strive for.
Anywho. Back to these two love birds. - their day was much anticipated and the love that surrounded it was incredible.
These guys were so happy to finally be married and become a family of three <3

Alli & Jeff - Illinois - Wedding

Alli & Jeff got to celebrate FINALLY with all their friends and family in May. I know they had one hack of a time trying to make sure they could have everyone they wanted there. Between venue changes, and everything else, they settled on a backyard reception. It was AMAZING. At one point, Jeff’s dad even said he wanted the party to be so loud and crazy that the cops got called. 27E sure did try and bring the house down.
It was just a fun day, filled with their friends and families love. It was truly evident in all aspects of their day.

Ostrander Family - Maternity

Oh these three, that were soon to be four. We had a very very chilly windy day back in April for this session. Barrett was not having the wind at the beach. Nothing that Sarah or David did helped. We just did a few mom and dad poses and decided to go search for a warmer location. We couldn’t push the session back because Sarah was due any day. The beach colors that day were insanely gorgeous.
